Overview
Tanzania is very rich in tourist destinations with 22 national parks, Kilimanjaro Mountain, Zanzibar Island and authentic culture and traditions with more than 120 tribes and each tribe has its interesting traditions and history, despite of having many tribes we never had an intertribal war. Within 11 days, this safari program will have much to offer you from the higher perspective of wildlife experience to visit Serengeti national park, Tarangire National park, Manyara National park, Ngorongoro Crater and Hadzabe cultural tour who are speaking a click language. DAY 1
ARRIVAL DAY
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport you will meet our driver guide with a billboard written your group name on it, he will greet and introducing himself, he will give you a short briefing about Tanzania and drive you to the hotel to relief from traveling tiredness, dinner and overnight for next day safari
DAY 2 & 3
FROM ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast you will drive to Tarangire National Park which is located approximately 110 km Southwest of Arusha about two hours’ drive, it is covering an area of approximately 2,850 km2. This park is best place to visit for elephant lovers; it is commonly known as ”The Palace of Elephant” where you might see many elephants in their groups.
During the dry season from June to October, the park has a particularly high concentration of wildlife, as prey comes to search for water and pasture along the mighty Tarangire River and predator follow them for hunting hence will be easy to see different animals which are coming from their hiding places from bushes, you will enjoy the predator hunting, good view and photo taking. Also, this park is an ornithologist’s paradise offering shelter to more than 300 species of birds, including the largest bird in the world, rare spotted species, the ostrich and the heaviest bird that can fly, the Kori Bustard.
During game drive lions, buffalos, cheetahs, wild dogs, wildebeests, leopards to zebra, gazelles and many more animals can be seen depending on what environment will provide to see. The best game viewing months are between July and December, but for bird viewing it is best to come between October and May. You will spend two days in the park to explore it, in the second day at late afternoon you will drive out of the park to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight
DAY 4
CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning after breakfast you will proceed with a drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro highland. Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park and famed for its annual migration, it is called the endless plain where the largest plain land is found. Predators like lion and leopard get enough time to chase prays because of the available enough land space hence you will get a time to spot animal hunting. It is the second largest national park in Tanzania. You might see great movement of animals within the park (wildebeest migration) crossing the river which is most famous in the world, the movement contains thousands of wildebeest and other animals like zebra, impala and bird species. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa it was four times consecutive awarded as the best and most visited National Park in Africa by World Tourism Organization (WTO) in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. You will do a game drive and stay in the central Serengeti known as Seronera, at late evening you will be taken to the Camp for dinner and overnight
DAY 5 AND 6
GAME DRIVE IN NORTHERN SERENGETI IN KOGATENDE
You will drive direct to Northern Serengeti in Kogatende to spot the migration crossing Mara river to Kenya side the event is too tricky and need much attention as it takes few second and have to wait for it to happen again. You will spend two days there to have enough time exploring the migration with other animals In the second day you will do a balloon safari to explore the park and wildlife from the sky. Serengeti national park is so big that even 7 days are not enough to finish it all. You will do a full day game drive and at late evening go back to your camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7
BACK TO CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will do a game drive going back to central Serengeti you will use a whole day going around with you guide to spot animals, at late evening you will direct go camp for dinner and overnight
DAY 8
FROM SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CRATER
Our day start early in the morning after breakfast we drive exiting Serengeti National Park hedging to Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival on the Ngorongoro crater’s rim we descend in for more wildlife exploration and picnic lunch.
The crater known as The African Zoo offers a wide and closer range of wildlife experience and spectacular view from the ground. Ngorongoro Crater; this is largest unbroken caldera in the world, The Ngorongoro crater which is known as hole of God. Olduvai Gorge and the Ngorongoro Crater, has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world. Eight million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater was an active volcano but its cone collapsed, forming the crater that is 610 meters deep, 20 kilometers in diameter, and covers an area of 250 km2.
The crater is home to many species of wild animals and birds and almost every species of African plains mammal lives in the crater, including the endangered black rhino, and the densest population of predators in Africa. A strange thing is that the crater elephants are mainly bulls. The birdlife, which includes the flamingo, is mainly seasonal, and is also affected by the ratio of soda to fresh water in Lake Magadi on the crater floor. After you have enjoyed the game drive you will ascend and drive to Karatu Town for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9
EYASI VISIT FOR HADZABE TRIBE
After breakfast you will drive towards Lake Eyasi where unique and authentic community of Hadzabe are found, they are living by hunting, gathering of fruits and digging roots to make their life. You will participate in hunting activity together with local people. During the late afternoon you will return to your lodge for hot lunch at the lodge and relaxing
DAY 10
MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning you will be taken to Manyara national park for game drive in the afternoon you will go to Arusha direct to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11
DEPARTURE DAY
Depending on your flight time you may have a little bit of a town tour just to explore and learn about this magnificent City in the country. Visit the Markets, Tanzanite Shops and Cultural sites for more historical information. Depending on your flight time you will be transferred to the Airport
